Classrooms for Climate Conference right around the corner


Don't forget to register-there is only one week until the Classrooms for Climate Conference starts. Your registration gives you access to more than 20 sessions and 100 presenters addressing a full range of issues focusing on climate change. Majora Carter, one of the pioneers in successful urban green collar job training and placement systems, kicks off the event on Wednesday, May 4th at 7:00 pm at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium. Her presentation-Hometown Security: Climate Adaptation, Social Innovation and Local Solutions is free and open to the public.

University of Alaska Anchorage's Kathleen McCoy interviews JP Leous, the national climate change policy adviser for the Wilderness Society and plenary speaker at the Classrooms for Climate conference. JP talks about green jobs and economic solution framing. Kathleen will be interviewing several of the Conference presenters, so tune in for more previews.
