Salmon in the Trees Opens in Yakutat!

The photography exhibition, Salmon in the Trees, begins the second leg of its tour of Southeast Alaska in Yakutat today! The show features extraordinary photos pulled from the pages of Amy Gulick's award-winning book, Salmon in the Trees: Life in Alaska's Tongass Rain Forest.

After a wildly successful run in Sitka, the exhibit now promises to draw crowds of visitors to Yakutat High School during its month-long stay. Admirers of Gulick's work will have two opportunities to meet the photographer:
a reception with dessert at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 2rd at the high school, and
a presentation following the Mt. St. Elias Dancers fundraiser dinner at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 3rd at ANB Hall.

The Yakutat show runs though June 5th, before heading to its next venue in Ketchikan.
