Salmon in the Trees Now in Wrangell!

Photographer Amy Gulick today kicks off the 4th leg of her Salmon in the Trees tour. Wrangell's Nolan Center hosts this beautiful and extremely popular exhibit of photographs from the multiple-award-winning book Salmon in the Trees: Life in Alaska's Tongass Rain Forest.

There is no better time to visit Wrangell!

July 25--August 16: Salmon in the Trees exhibition, Nolan Center

July 27 @ 5:30pm: Reception with Amy Gulick. Enjoy complimentary heavy appetizers, plus a cash bar

July 27 @ 7:00pm: Presentation with images by Amy Gulick

July 28 @ 5:30-7:00pm: Photography workshop w/ Amy Gulick. Free and open to all

July 27-31: Bearfest! Bears appear in droves in pursuit of thousands of salmon. Come celebrate the remarkable abundance of the Tongass with a festival!

  1. Anan Creek, just south of Wrangell, is one of the BEST places in the Tongass National Forest to see the remarkable connection among salmon, trees, and bears!
